DivX has also launched a beta mobile content and software solution that enables consumers to experience high-quality video content across the PC, the living room and on-the-go. By using DivX Converter, a one-step video software application available on DivX.com, users can easily convert virtually any digital video into a "DivX Mobile" video that is compatible with any DivX Certified mobile device.

Consumers who do not own a DivX Certified mobile device can download the beta DivX Mobile Player (mobile.divx.com), which will support the playback of DivX content on certain mobile devices. The DivX mobile offering also includes a beta version of a video content site (mm.divx.com) where consumers can easily browse and enjoy high-quality DivX videos from a variety of sources formatted for direct viewing on a DivX enabled mobile device.

"At DivX, we are working to build a complete digital media solution for consumers that spans the 'three screen' experience - PC, television and mobile devices, and the launch of a comprehensive mobile program is an important milestone toward that goal," said Patrice LaGrange, Vice President and Group Business Manager, Media Languages at DivX. "We have achieved a great deal of success bringing DivX to the PC and the living room, and mobile devices are a logical extension of the DivX ecosystem. As video capabilities on handsets mature and mobile service offerings grow, users will come to expect the same seamless access to the enormous amount of DivX content on their mobile devices that they have today on their PC's and DVD players."

DivX has also announced the release of a multi-language version of DivX Author 1.5, now available in German, French, Japanese and English from www.divx.com. DivX Author is the first full-featured DivX authoring program allowing consumers to create DivX videos with advanced features like interactive menus, chapters, multiple subtitles and audio tracks.

DivX Author is designed to create full-featured DivX videos for playback on PCs and DivX Ultra certified DVD players. DivX Ultra Certified products fully support all the advanced features of the DivX media format, with multiple subtitles, chapter points, interactive menus and other DVD-like features.

"We are excited to make DivX Author more accessible to our users in Germany, France, Japan and the UK," said Patrice LaGrange, Vice President and Group Business Manager, Media Languages at DivX. "We believe DivX Author offers the best way to easily create the most compelling DivX content ever. Consumers can take advantage of advanced DVD-like features in a single, compact high quality video file that is easy to share, unlike traditional DVD videos, for a truly cinematic digital media experience."

DivX Author Enables Consumers to:
- Add full-motion menus, chapter points, subtitles, multiple audio tracks and motion thumbnails to DivX videos
- Take advantage of easy-to-use wizards and templates for professional-style presentations in minutes
- Import videos from almost any source
- Create high-quality, multimedia photo slideshows with background audio and scene transitions
- Arrange collections of episodic videos on a single disc
- Create highly-compressed DivX files easy to share over the Internet
- Enjoy DVD-like videos created with DivX Author on DivX Ultra Certified DVD Players

DivX Author 1.5 is available for GBP 24.99/$29.99/EUR 29.99/Yen 3749. Paid users of DivX Author 1.0 may upgrade to DivX Author 1.5 free.
